LTG operates passenger and freight trains in Lithuania. The main
freight
flow is from Russia to the Baltic Sea ports.
In 2019 LG was rearranged
into a state-owned holding, with passenger business LG Keleiviams
and freight operator LG Cargo. In 2020 the company name was changed to
LTG (no abbreviation), with passenger division LTG Link, freight
division LTG Cargo and infrastructure department LTG Infra.
In 2018 LG transported 5.1 million passengers and 56.8 million tonnes
of freight.

GG is an open access rail operator in Lithuania. It operates mainline
potash trains
since 2020 with large diesel locomotives. It also runs track
maintenance trains, performs shunting duties in yards
and hires/leases shunting locomotives to other operators. For these
duties 21 shunting locomotives are available.
