Network length, gauge and electrification (2020):

• 5455km broad gauge(1520mm), 1345km electrified at 25kV 50Hz
• 25km standard gauge, electrified at 3000V=

BCh is the national railway company in Belarus, and operates all passenger and freight trains in the country. Stock was inherited from the former USSR SZD Belorusskaya division, but new trainsets have been bought in recent years. Electrification of major railways is taking place with the help of China.
