RFO - The Netherlands Bye bye to the Buffalo! On 28 November electric locomotive RFO 1829 brought the first 4 diesel trainsets type DM'90 from Amsterdam to the border at Bad Bentheim. Their destination is Zagórz in Poland for operator SKPL. These trainsets (53x) were built from 1996 and withdrawn in 2017, after NS lost the contract to operate their last non-electrified line. 21 trainsets were modernised in 2013. RFO - The Netherlands Diesel shunter 683 was built 65 years ago as nr. 621 for NS. After getting remote control it was renumbered into 683. After being sold to RRF it became RRF5, and later LOCON 9701. Now the shunter is owned by Rail Force One (as 683 again) and today it was used for the transport of an endless amount of new cars from Amersfoort Centraal to Pon car importer in Leusden. RFO - The Netherlands At almost 70 years old, locomotive 687 is still going strong. Built for NS at the end of the 1950s, this locomotive even got a new Rail Force One livery in 2022.
