1996, new passes for the Selketalbahn
A so-called Selketalticket
was introduced 2 years ago: this pass is valid during 3 full days on the Selketalbahn. With the help of the Dampfrad
"rent-a-bike" service of HSB (which allows free transportation of the bike in the HSB trains), and... walks... it made the visit of the Selke valley area easy.
Now, its range extends to the Eisfelder-Talmühle - Nordhausen-Nord route (southern part of the Harzquerbahn) and it is also valid on the Q-Bus GmbH bus lines connecting with the railway lines.
It is another move to bring additional customers to the trains (and buses) and help keeping cars out of the Harz area.
Price is
20.-- DM
Following the family passes which were introduced the year before for the entire system, a new Familiennetzkarte
i.e. a "network family pass" has also been introduced in 1996 for the Selketalbahn: it allows a family with 2 parents and 2 children to travel on the whole Selketalbahn plus the Eisfelder-Talmühle - Nordhausen-Nord route (southern part of the Harzquerbahn) as well on the connecting Q-Bus GmbH bus lines, during 3 full days.
Price is
50.-- DM
