    Mit RE 11486 (Gießen-Krefeld Hbf) am Haken erreicht die Baureihe 111 123-6 (verkehrsrot) der DB Regionalbahn Rheinland soeben Wetzlar. Auch der Rhein-Sieg-Express (RE 11) wird in absehbarer Zeit auf Doppelstockwagen umgestellt werden.
