Section-border sign on the Ukrainian railways, beetwen stations Slavske and Lavochne.
The scripts on the sign: "Mukachivskiy Distantsiya Koliyi" which means something like "Tracks of the Mukachiv directorate", but honestly it's hard to translate it properly. 13.06.2011

Glass of tea on the UZ train closeup.
UZ the Ukrainian railway system serves tea on board in the Platskartny class wagon. Each glass cost s UAH 3.00 (about EUR 0.25 in 2009) and comes with sugar and a slice of lemon on request. The condu ctors speak almost exclusively Russian and/or Ukranian, so you will have to say "G09 A A0E0@>< 8 ;8< >=><" in Russian or "G09 7 FC:@>< V ;8<>=><" in Ukranian. Left Moldova (Transnistria), right Ukraine, in the middle the bridge that connects both railwaynetworks.
DM/CFM suspended all trains from 6 March 2006 due to the conflict with Transnistria over the new customs regime between Moldova and Ukraine. Passenger trains from Chisinau to Odessa and Ivano Frankovsk are cancelled, other trains like Chisinau-Moscow are diverted via the bordercrossing Valcinet (DM/CFM) - Mogilyv Podilskyj (UZ) in the North-East of Moldova.
