While the conventional line and the high-speed line run in parrallel through Maliköy, the former diverges to the left from the latter thereafter.

An interesting shortcut through Turkish History in Maliköy:
• The Islamic Heritage (Mosque, in the background);
• The Kemalist Heritage (War of Independence museum, in the middle); and
• The current economic modernisation, of which the Istanbul-Ankara HTH (Stage 1: Eskisehir-Esenkent) (foreground) is one of most striking achievements.
