19 June 2005, Gamla Stan T-bana station, Stockholm, Sweden
All C20 trainsets that I've seen have a name, and no. 2086 here is christened "Anakin" - apparently a Star Wars fan got to pick the name. According to the Swetramway website, the trainsets are supposed to be named after famous and ordinary Stockholmers, clearly including fictitious characters, but I have my doubts the rule applies in this case - unless the trainset is named after an unfortunate child of a couple of Stockholm Star Wars fans. 19 June 2005, Gamla Stan T-bana station, Stockholm, Sweden
A northbound tunnelbana (metro) train of SL's modern C20 type; if my research is correct then the front trainset is no. 2269 "Måns" which is distinguished by its advertisement. Unfortunately the LCD destination indicators the train is equipped with don't photograph well so I can't reconstruct the line or destination of the train. The picture is taken from the northbound platform of Gamla Stan station, southern end; the view is along the T-bana bridge over Söderström towards Slussen station, with the city district of Södermalm in the background. On the right edge of the picture you can see the road bridge called Centralbron. Photo by Sven Manias (sven.manias@gmx.de) |

Meeting of a southbound (left) and a northbound (right) tunnelbana (metro) train of SL's C20 type on the Söderström bridge. Again, the LCD destination indicators don't photograph well. Photo by Sven Manias (sven.manias@gmx.de) |

Another northbound C20-type tunnelbana train coming from Slussen. Taken from the northbound platform of Gamla Stan station, southern end; view along the Söderström bridge towards Slussen station. On the left edge of the picture you can see a part of Karl Johanslussen, the actual lock connecting the lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea from which the entire Slussen traffic node gets its name.
