The station of MATARUŠKA BANJA on the railway line: Kraljevo - Raška - Kosovo Polje. This romantic station is located
in the village Konarevo very close to Kraljevo, approximately 2 km from the thermal springs in Mataruška Banja.
This station building was projected by the famous Serbian architect Petar Gacic. Approximately 3/4 of all station buildings
in Serbia and Macedonia built between the first and second world war were projected by Petar Gacic. A lot of that stations
were destroyed either in the wars (Kosovska Mitrovica, Raška etc.) or in the NATO-bombing of Serbia 1999.

Inside the small part with window on the right there was a waiting room for the kings and the queens!

The old clock inside the station of MATARUŠKA BANJA working since 1929! A lot of people and museums
from Serbia and abroad offered a lot of money and wanted to buy it. The station of MATARUŠKA BANJA is also
a kind of museum (it is protected by the State of Serbia as a cultural-hystoric monument!) and this clock will never be for sale.

Please note: it is strictly forbidden to take pictures of the station building, inside and of the tracks, especially after the NATO-bombing!
If you want to take pictures, you must get a written permit from the Direction of the Railways of Serbia and declare you will
not use the pictures against Serbia and its railways as the NATO did 1999!
