The 2nd-class passenger car Blm, type X of the Serbian Railways (Zeleznice Srbije)
in the depot of the Belgrade Main Station on May 16, 2003. This is a repainted ex-DB
passenger car. Such cars are in Serbia named: "Danke, Deutschland". The words come
from a Croatian song when Croatia got independent in 1991 ("Danke, Deutschland, vielen Dank,
wir sind jetzt nicht allein"). The Serbs hate this song because the Croatian independence had
a high price: thousands of people died in the war. Germany was the first state in the world
that recognized the Croatian independance.

Nis-Knjazaevac-Zajecar line. This is one of the oldest lines built in Serbia. It passes through beautiful countryside of east Serbia. There are some 40 tunnels on it, especialy on Nis-Knjazevac section. This is very rare sight on this line: a local Nis-Zajecar-Negotin train is approaching Zajecar. There are only three passenger trains daily on this line!!
