CFR woprk car type UAM 215-P in Constanta yard.
The UAM 215-P is another vehicle from UAM familly. The main features of this car are the fixed
platform and the hydraulic crane's lack. The car was designed for light track intervention which
doesn't involve high loads lift. Although the car has the same carachteristics as the other UAM
types, it's a little lower than the UAM 215-MB and lighter too. The total height is 3,8 metres and
the total wheight is 25 tons. It's pwered by the same engine as the other uam types and has the same
cabin which can caryy up to 10 people.

CFR track overhaul car type UAM 215-MB in Constanta yard.
UAM type track overhaul cars are designed for ligh and medium size track work. The car is being
produced in three variants depending on its field of use. The UAM 215-MB is specially designed
for the transport of work crews and different pieces needed for track maintenance. Due to its
hydraulic crane which can be adapted as a clamshell bucket, the car is able to load diferent
materials such as rail pieces, sleepers or scrap material from digging work. Its 10 person cab
can be used to carry the work personnel.
The car is powered by a romanian built 256 hp diesel engine, has hiydraulic transmision and can
reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
The car is 14 meters long, has a height 4 meters and can haul loads of up to 300 tons. The crane
can lift loads up to 7 tons, the platform has a load capacity of 10 tons and the whole car weights
29 tons.
Such cars are wide used by CFR mainly for track maintenance but also for other works too.
