(Regia Autonoma de Transport Public Ploiesti) ITB 1VU #5060 The 1VU sno-plough trams were built by ITB (now RATB = Regia Autonoma de Transport Bucuresti)-URAC (Uzina de Reparatii ,, Atelierele Centrale" = Central Workshops), with trucks, wheelsets and electric motors from the old Thomson, V09 and V56 (?) cars. Originally, they had 2 axles and 2 DC motors and a Romanian Electroputere controller (12 steps) for them + another controller for the snow-plough. In Bucharest, the EP controllers were replaced by Thomson and AEG 8-steps controllers and different switches were installed for the snow-plough. In Ploiesti, the 2 units they have were heavily modified: one axle was replaced by a Timis motor bogie, and the controller is also taken from a Timis 2 car. List of R.A.T.Ph.'s vehicles.
