Bucur LF #401
Bucur LF is a 75% low-floor tram built by R.A.T.B.-URAC (Uzina de Reparatii "Atelierele Centrale" = Central Workshops). First tram was built and tested in 2007, then it stayed in URAC's yard until August 2009 (except 2 special ocasions: the opening of a new R.A.T.B. Terminal and the Woman Day 2009), when it was finally put in service at "Dudesti" Yard. At this moment (Jully 2010), #401 can be found almost daily on line 21 and 2 other Bucur LF trams are under construction. After the other 2 (and maybe a 3rd) trams, the future of this project is unknown (there are always money for Diesel buses (e.g. the 1000 Citaro) and service cars for them, not for trams; you can't steal fuel from trams and trolleybuses).
