A switch on the Hunedoara - Ghelari 760 mm narrow gauge system.
The good news are that looking at the rails, the railway is still in use. The bad news (for me) is that I haven't seen any train.

The infrastructure was built by I.T.B. (now R.A.T.B.), using the same technologies used for tram lines at that moment, using wood and metal railway sleepers. The lines had 4 switches. They are were like the one in the pictures. This is a modified version of the swithces used at trams, with only one moving pin and manual mechanism that can be operated only by a crowbar. More pictures & info about this line. Photo by Dr2005 - transportbucuresti.trei(a)gmail.com, www.transport-in-comun.ro/trenuri. |

Dirt and mud covered the rails and gras grew between the rails. The rails were in use when this picture was taken. More pictures & info about this line. Photo by Dr2005 - transportbucuresti.trei(a)gmail.com, www.transport-in-comun.ro/trenuri. |

There are multiple level crossings in the park. In the beginning, they all had barriers, than the barriers were replaced by light signalls, then by stop signs, then the track dissappeard, so no level crossing was needed.
