Track of the Oravita-Anina line.
Here it can be seen how sharp the curves can be. The minimum radius is around 100 m.
The line uses mostly wooden ties and 40 kgf/m rail.

Track of the Oravita-Anina line.
The lines runs through a rock-dug trench. And I think they used simple gunpowder to dig it as in the late 1850's I don't think that the dynamite was yet invented.
The line uses mostly wooden ties and 40 kgf/m rail.

On the left building there can be seen the word "Roman". I presume there was the slogan "Traiasca Partidul Comunist Roman" (Long Live the Romanian Communist Party) :)
After the 1989 chenge of regime the only word that remained is "Roman" and it is better like it is now... :)
