CFR 43-0039-8 electric locomotive in Cluj Depot on 05.04.2003

Class 43 electric locomotives where built for CFR by RADE KONKAR. They are Bo-Bo type 
locomotives and are powedred by an 3400 Kw electric engine. The locomotives where built in
three versions: the locomotives numbered 001-0016 don't have electric brake and can reach a 
maximum speed of 120 km/h; the locomotives numbered 0017-0032 are equipped with electric 
brake and can also reach a speed of 120 km/h. Finnaly the locomotives numbered from 0033 onwards 
are equipped with electric brake and can reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
43-0039-8 is a locomotive from the last type, has a maximum speed of 160 km/h and a weight 
of 80 tons.
