Romanian Railway Days 2010 (5th and 6th October), Bucuresti Nord Station, Romania

The second "high speed" (200 km/h) locomotive built by Softronic for SNTFC "CFR Calatori" SA was shown at this year's edition of the Romanian Railway Days. The loco has been in tests since april and it's expected to star the regular service soon.
A few technical details: wheel formula: Co'Co; length over buffers: 19800mm; wheelbase: 10300mm; weight: 126t; maximum effort: 228kN;
Nominal power: 5100 kW; maximum power: 6600 kW

40-2004-6 electric locomotive (Phoenix type) of CFR Calatori. It is the second one (the first is 40-2003, now the only one capable of 200 km/h). 40-2004-6 it is still running at maximum 160km/h. As you can see, it is a very "patriotic" locomotive. Foto made in Gara de Nord.

In the hot afternoon of 14 August 2011, the fourth Softronic-built locomotive awaited the green light in order to leave Bucuresti Nord Station/Bucharest main station with the Constanta bounded express R 689.

Cea mai noua achizitie a Cfr Calatori. O locomotiva electrica din fosta serie 40 total modernizata. Putere 6600kW, viteza maxima 200 km/h. In momentul de fata exista doar una, cea din poza 40-2003-2. Cfr Calatori's newest aquisition. A fully modernised electric locomotive from the former 40 class. Power 6600 kW, top speed 200 km/h. At this moment only one exists 40-2003-2.
