CFR Class 64, Co-Co locomotive, with an 1500 HP engine, electric train heating, built by “Faur-23 August” works in Bucharest; these locos were used on the non-electrified lines in the western part of the country, mostly on slow trains; these were intended to be tested for push-pull trains, after the German model, but the project was abandoned. However, they are not so powerful and fast (v. max: 100 km/h) and are today used for work trains, operated by the infrastructure company.
