CFR - Bo'Bo' class 69
CFR 69-0004-7 in Oravita station, 06/09/1999.
The Oravita - Anina line in Banat county (west) is one of the oldest
romanian lines. The current radius of its curves reaches about 100 m !
To replace the steam locos, Faur built diesel electric locomotives
class 69 because class 80 diesel-hydraulic locos couldn't accept such
reduced radius due to transmission shafts.
Diesel engine: Sulzer license, 6 LDA 28 B, 6 cylinders in line.
Power: 1250 hp.
Top speed: 100 km/h

After an admirable two hours effort, 1250 HP Diesel-Electric 69-0003-9 is reversing in order to pull back its two car train to Oravita.
