<br>It is waiting for better days. It was used to carry cement from the factory in Hateg, but the factory closed (and the line is now unused). The section Subcetate - Hateg was part of the Subcetate - Hateg - Sarmizegetusa - Boutari - Caransebes, including the rack section Sarmizegetusa - Boutari. In the '70s, the rack section was closed (and the old steam locomotives let to rust in the Subcetate Yard... some were restored as static exhibits). In the '90s, the Hateg - Sarmizegetusa section was closed and stolen, then CFR took back what it could recover (however, some freight cars are still in Sarmizegetusa, isolated and in very poor condition. The section Boutari - Caransebes is still i used, operated by Transferoviar Calatori.
