Two almost 60 year old diesel trainsets (0453 and 0465) are seen at Lagos, western end station of the Algarve line in southern Portugal. Electrification of the line is now progressing well and these trainsets will soon be replaced by new electric trains.

CP class 0450 (rebuilt from class 0400) is now the main class of diesel trainsets used all over the country. Trainset 0453 is waiting on one of the new suburban tracks at Porto Campanha station to depart towards the north or east (Minho or Douro line).

Two trainsets class 0450 have recently been modernised (with new interior and yellow livery) for Intercity services on Casa Branca-Beja connecting to the recently modernised and electrified railway line to Evora (Linha do Alentejo). Trainset 0459 is seen at Casa Branca, with the IC Lisboa-Evora on the right.
