Strukton 40 84 959 1564-2 is a former Gbs type van, rebuilt for departmental use. Here it is part of a ballast cleaning train. Assen, 17 September 2004.

Strukton 40 84 954 1 210-3 started it's career as a Gbs type van. Later it was rebuilt for weed-killing duties (hence the bay window) and now has become part of a ballast cleaning train. Assen, 17 September 2004.

This former Gbs-type van accomodates the conveyor of the MFS-unit visible to the right. Being fitted with windows and headlights (not visible in the picture), it can be used for directing the ballast cleaning train onto a worksite. Assen, 17 September 2004.

This machine is laying new concrete sleepers. It picks them up five at a time, spaces them evenly and then puts them down onto the ballast. Assen, 3 May 2009.
