Railexperts - The Netherlands Locomotive 1251 has a long history. It entered service in 1952 as NS number 1215. After its long service for NS it was sold in 1999 to ACTS and operated for freight trains until 2009. It entered service for EETC in 2010 but dit not operate many trains. In 2017 Fairtrains took over the management of this locomotive (which is now privately owned) and it was hired to Railexperts as spare for their class 1600 locomotive. 1251 was repainted into the ACTS colours.
