Open Day 100 years workshop Leidschendam The shunters of the 700 class owned by Nedtrain are of type G400B from Vossloh. Look at the impressive amount of coupling possibilities! Leidschendam, 13-12-2008 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
Open Day 100 years workshop Leidschendam Recently new workshop shunters have been acquired by Nedtrain. This one of type NITEQ 4000-U looks the most like a normal shunter. Leidschendam, 13-12-2008 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
Open Day 100 years workshop Leidschendam This is an old Road-Rail shunter probably being overhauled by Nedtrain and not used by the workshop itself (but I'm not sure). It does not have any markings of an owner. Leidschendam, 13-12-2008 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
Open Day 100 years workshop Leidschendam Nedtrain Teletrac 408 is a small shunter without a proper cabin. It was built by Windhoff, a well-known builder of small shunting locomotives. Leidschendam, 13-12-2008 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

Bombardier Traxx-locomotive 185 586 with test train. This is the measuring car from NedTrain. The Dutch High Speed Alliance will start commercial service with Traxx hauled trains with ICRm coaches at 160 km/h from Amsterdam to Belgium, prior to the introduction of the eventual "Albatros" high speed trains, which are late in delivery. The HSA-version will be referred to as Class 186, and can operate under 1500 Volt DC (Netherlands), 3000 Volt DC (Belgium) and 25000 Volt AC (high speed lines).
