VSM steam loco 52 3879 sometimes takes on special duties like this ectra train that almost surprised me in Nijmegen om 3 June 2006. The train was due south to Simpelveld in the very south of the Netherlands, where Dutch local steam train museum ZLSM (Zuid Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij), founded in 1994, took over the redundant Miljoenenlijn Kerkrade--Simpelveld--Valkenburg. ZLSM had each Pentecost weekend open days with all their active locos riding, plus guests. In 2006 VSM 52 3879 paid a visit.
