Museum railway SHM - The Netherlands Dutch Railway Society NVBS repeated an excursion that was made 40 years ago: Amsterdam-Alkmaar with a mail motor car (then brand new), by diesel to Hoorn and with steam to Medemblik. For the return run from Medemblik to Hoorn the excursion train was split in two parts: 18 + coupling car + 1 coach and 30 + 2 coaches. The last train overtook the first one at Wognum (with a possibility to take photos when standing next to each other).
