NS - The Netherlands With the new timetable in December 2017, the last diesel trainsets operated by NS will be withdrawn. On 14 Oktober NVBS organised a farewell tour from Zwolle to Musselkanaal (on the line of the STAR museum railway) with trainsets DM'90 3427 and 3446, with numerous photo stops on the STAR line. NS - The Netherlands One of my favourite class of diesel locomotives - they used to run past my primary school in Tiel with heavy car trains around 1980. Locomotive 2454 is now privately owned. NS - The Netherlands "Multi Event" in Blerick near Venlo provided a rare opportunity to view museum trains that are normally hidden inside depots. Historic diesel locomotive 2454 is owned by the railway museum club in Haarlem. It was recently restored to operating condition but it is not (yet) mainline approved.
