For suburban journeys NS ordered 90 "Sprinters".
These trains can reach their top speed of 125 km/h in just 75 seconds.
Most passengers don't like these trains because there is no comfort at all.
At the moment these trains are undergoing a midlife modification.

This is a MAT 64 EMU seen between Amsterdam Amstel and Amsterdam Centraal. It looks like it might be heading to Utrecht or thereabouts.
