19/06/98	Barendrecht		diesel shunting loc 6439 (type 6400 built by MAK Kiel) coming from the Rotterdam harbor shunting area Kijfhoek on to the main line near Barendrecht stop. This part of the line (between Barendrecht and Heerjansdam) is the only remaining part which thusfar was not brought on 4 track; due to heavy contestation by the adjacent inhabitants. The area is under high pressure because exactly here the beginning of the new goods rail line "Betuwelijn" is planned to cross over the main line Rotterdam-Dordrecht.
