GB_17_Day_4_Cramlington. Through no fault of its own, the GB17 train was running late when it left Newcastle so it seems officialdom turned a blind eye to the speeds which were reached in an effort to regain some time to Edinburgh. At Cramlington, 10 miles (16km) north of Newcastle, the GPS recorded that TANGMERE was running at about 81mph (130kph) as it blazed through the station! 29th April 2025. roger.griffiths@hotmail.com
