One of six cars rebuilt 2010 to 2012 from B5-2 (originally
built 1977 to 1981 by Strømmens Verksted). Today used
on Nordlandsbanen.

the twenty sleeping-cars built 1986/1987 on the Dovre and
Nordland lines. Length 27000 mm, width 3240 mm, height
4220 mm, maximum speed 150 km/h, weight 50 t. 15 two-bed
compartments.

comfortable and large. The F7 train from Trondheim to
Bodø waited for the replacement bus from Dovre (for
the connecting F6 train from Oslo) but still arrived on time
at its destination.

diesel-electric freight locomotive with EMD 16-710 G3C-U2
engine, 3178 kW, 120 km/h. Six of these are used with freight
trains on Nordlandsbanen.

42 years later all Di 4 still carry their maroon livery of origin
with ivory stripes and the 1980s NSB logo on the front, despite
some rebuildings such as the installation of new LED headlights.
Since 2020 they are all in service for SJ Nord on Nordlandsbanen
passenger trains (but no logo of SJ Nord has been applied).
140 km/h, 2650 kW, 360 kN, Co'Co', diesel-electric with 3-phase
AC traction motors, EMD 16-654E4B engine (water-cooled, 2-stroke,
16 cylinders), generator for electric train power. In winter a
separate generator van is added.

Trondheim, arriving on time despite the delayed arrival due to
bus replacement service on the connecting train from Oslo.

passenger trains to Bodø are planned to be replaced by
new Stadler units type 79B from 2028, at that point the 47 year
old locomotives and coaches of similar age will go out of
service.

built 1984 as 69D, in 2005 rebuilt with more comfortable seats and
drink dispensers for Gjøvikbanen, in 2019 replaced there by
type 75 and sold to Taraldsvik Maskin AS for operation as Arctic
Train from 2020. Now running two daily round trips between Narvik
and Bjørnfjell (mostly for tourists).

built 1984 as 69D, in 1994 rebuilt with more comfortable seats
and operating on Gjøvikbanen and Jærbanen. In
2016 the unit went to Svenska Tågkompaniet as reserve,
in 2019 it was sold to Taraldsvik Maskin AS. Still waiting for
restoration on a siding in the last NSB livery with graffiti.

built 1984 as 69D, in 1994 rebuilt with more comfortable seats
and operating on Gjøvikbanen and Jærbanen. In
2016 the unit went to Svenska Tågkompaniet as reserve,
in 2019 it was sold to Taraldsvik Maskin AS. This unit is under
restoration and has been repainted, with the windows removed
and covered up by plastic foil.
