A trail from Breitenstein goes up the Spießwand, from where you can get a view from top onto the Krauselklause viaduct (Semmering line). During march to may 2026 one track on the Kalte Rinne viaduct of the semmering line was replaced, leading to single-track operation. Now both tracks are open again but the viaduct is still under scaffolding while some stones are renewed. Certainly a good idea as we see when a railjet to Wien crosses a Westbahn to Villach. Some trains of line cjx9 from/to Wien Floridsdorf go to/from Mürzzuschlag on weekends. Here such a train, consisting of two coupled ÖBB class 4746 units, crosses the Kalte Rinne viaduct, still under scaffolding but double track operation has been resumed.
