SNCFT - Tunisia Class 040-GT (computer numbers 91 91 0 000551 up to 571) operates all long-distance passenger trains on the narrow gauge network. Long trains even have two locomotives. 040-GT-558 and 560 were in charge of the Tunis-Tozeur day train. Sfax, 24-10-2006 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
SNCFT - Tunisia The long train from Gabes to Tunis makes it necessary to use two locomotives of class 040-GT, nrs. 564 and 552. The train was too long for several platforms at intermediate stops. Gabes, 28-10-2006 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

SNCFT - Tunisia The express train from Tunis to Gabes (only first class and comfort class!) is ready to depart. The smoke is not coming from locomotive 040-GT-564 but from the generator van! Probably class 040-GT does not provide power to the train. Tunis, 23-10-2006 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
