In a siding beside Yelehanka broad gauge station was 2ft-6in diesel railbus ZRD No.2 which handled the occasional passenger traffic. It can only be assumed that the pair of Class ES Pacifics were being repaired for little future purpose, but at least it was keeping the workers employed; 29.11.1979. Kalka-Shimla Railway ZDM3 700 with train 52454 "Shimla Kalka Mail". The series 700 to 707 are curiously also called ZDM3, but a new development of 2008 built at Parel shop of Central Railway, with 522 kW Cummins engine and KPC transmission. For better visibility of the winding track they have a new body with two cabs, No. 700 to 702 have trapezoid windows with headlights below.
