Note the protection switch, set to an uphill stub track if no pusher car is in the station to prevent any rolling stock from rolling down the steep slope. Trieste - Tranvia di Opicina - 401 Triebwagen 401, aufgenommen am 23. August 1982. Im steilen Abschnitt wird mit Seilbahntechnik gearbeitet. Der Standseilbahnwagen schiebt den Straßenbahntriebwagen bergauf. Dieser fährt dann allein weiter. Der nächste Straßenbahntriebwagen kommt und wird dann vom Standseilbahnwagen talwärts gebremst.
