The new underground train stop SAN REMO. This awful dark underground stop,
very far away from the seashore, replaced the beautiful station directly
on the seashore, under palm-trees and in oleander flowers.
There is no station of the world that I hate so much like this one.
I decided not to arrive in San Remo by train any more. It is more interesting
to arrive by train from Nice to Bordighera and to take a trolleybus. The 
trolleybus runs very slowly, but you can enjoy a spectacular seaside view 
while travelling - as you did until 21.09.2001 travelling by train. On that 
date the spectacular seashore railway between Bordighera and Imperia Porto Maurizio 
was closed and replaced by an awful double track tunnel railway.
