A panoramic view on the station of IMPERIA PORTO MAURIZIO on the line: Genova Piazza Principe - Ventimiglia.
This station is very convenient: after getting off the train you will need not more than 5 minutes 
on foot to reach the port, the beach, your hotel or the historic part of the town.

This station will be closed in summer 2008; also the station of IMPERIA ONEGLIA will be closed.
The new station of IMPERIA is beeing built in Castellvecchio, a part of Oneglia, approximately 2-3 km
distant from the seashore. To reach Imperia Porto Maurizio you will need at least an hour - 
on foot, by bus or by taxi (on the road "Aurelia" there is almost always a queue!) - I tried all that
in summer 2005! Nobody can convince me that it will be faster to travel by train running on the 
awful new tunnel railway very far from the coast! I hate this new project!!!
