Como San Giovanni is the furthest-most (if you don't count Chiasso) station on the Milano-Chiasso-Lugano line, still in Italy. Here you can see a 668 DMU diesel train number 1017 which will go to Milano Greco Pirelli via Monza and Sesto San Giovanni (transfer to the Milan metro M1). Train number 1017 looks refurbished, not like the first generation 668 DMU's.
These are the main tracks, as seen from the bus station which is a little bit south of the train station. The RhB meter gauge tracks are east of the station.
