Como FS, 25.04.1999. Each motor of the E 412 has a double-star stator windings and it can develope a max.power of 1530 kW.

Como FS, 25.04.1999. The engine E 412 allows to use its 3kV= continous power (6000 kW) between 95 and 200 km/h. Otherwise, it can develope its 15kV~ continous power (5500 kW) between 87 and 200 km/h.

FS Class E412 Electric Locomotive. E412.008 in one of the southern sidings at Brennero on Friday September 27th, 2002. The photo was taken from the Milano bound EC81 and the double-glazed window has produced slight halos over the buildings.

In the nowadays european locomotives, such as the FS E412, you can see some actual body characteristics: stream-lined frontal made by plastic parts; reinforced frame sides; removable light-alloy roof parts to allows engine maintenance.
