Trenitalia electric loco E.402B-156 (NVR 91 83 2402 156-0 I-TI) is towing Mercitalia FAST ETR.500-01 to its final fate. Mercitalia Rail ETR.500-01 "MERCITALIA FAST" was an ETR.500 modified for fast cargo service between Bologna and Marcianise. The train was retired and stored in Vicenza after the last service on November 19th, 2022. On March 13th, 2024 the train was towed by Trenitalia Electric Loco E.402B-156 again to Marcianise. The two E.404 loco in the composition will be refrubished nd taken back in regular passengers operation. The modified cars will be otherwise dismantled. During its last journey to Marcianise, the compsition briefly stopped in the afternoon at San Giorgio di Piano BO Station (the advantage to have office window overlooking the station...).
