The section from Reggio Calabria of overnight 1940 "Treno del Sole" to Torino Porta Nuova, composed of only one UIC-X couchette pulled by a FS class E656, is ready to depart from Reggio Calabria Centrale in July 1990.
<br>At Villa San Giovanni it would merge with sections from Palermo Centrale and Siracusa.
