IE - Ireland The new Dublin Docklands station was only opened last year. In the years to come it will become busier, as a new railway tunnel will pass this place. As in almost all stations in Ireland the platforms are fenced off and you can only enter with a valid ticket. Dublin, 09-09-2008 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

Dublin, Heuston Station.
View from the platforms to the waiting area. Ticket barriers are pretty obvious. Behind them, a glass courtain separates the waiting and shopping area from the platforms. A good idea to keep it separated from the exhaust from DMUs and diesel locos.

The imposing Amiens Street frontage of Dublin’s Connolly Station. The station was originally named Amiens Street Station. The main (south) entrance to the Iarnród Éireann (as opposed to DART) part of the station has been rebuilt to accommodate the terminus of the LUAS Red Line.
