New NIR DMUThis is Northern Ireland Railways' new DMU series. This is supposed to replace the older 8000-series, which sound a bit like a helicopter when they approach, and also are opened from the inside by lowering the sliding window and opening from the outer handle. The new DMU doors are operated from inside by a lighted button.Seen from between Whiteabbey and Belfast-Yorkgate stations.
