Budapest Szépvölgyi út HÉV station
Southbound HÍd HÉV commuter rail train as seen from the "Szépvögyi út" HÉV Station. The HÉV is in tunnel from Batthyány tér to Margit híd. The rest is at "grade level" up to Szentendre, north of Budapest. At Batthyány tér, the HÉV is not very deep. It ends at a "head" station just under the street. The actual metro station requires a downwards escalator. HÉV trains allow BKV tickets as long as they are valid for the Budapest fare zone. Anything further afield to Szentendre requires a supplemental ticket. Taken Saturday 1 August 1998 © 1998, 2006 Josh Hanz (josh_hanz@hotmail.com) |
