MAV V60 003 electric locomotive, built in 1938, now exhibited at Budapest-Obuda near
the technical university named after "Kandó Kálmán", who planned the class V40 and V60
locomotives for the MAV. Note that the red lamps on the front are unreal, naturally
these were white lamps during the active life of loco. 18.04.2003.

The only one remaining unit of the V60 locomotive. This was a Kando-type locomotive, similar to V40 but with six driven axles (F wheel arrangement) and 67 km/h maximal speed, for heavy freight trains (mainly coal trains from Oroszlany area to Budapest weighed 2000-3000 tons). Only 3 units were built (2 prototypes, 1 series). The locomotives were produced in 1932 (001-002) 1939 (003) In the middle of 60's they were withdrawn. The picture was taken at the High School name "Kando" where V60,003 is exhibited.
