M47 2032 hauled this day the Baja - Budapest fast train between Baja and Bataszek because it was the only engine available in Baja. It was changed to an M41 engine in Bataszek - it would have been to slow for the whole journey...

A sad picture about a diesel engine... Electrification on the Balatonszentgyörgy - Gyekenyes and Szekesfehervar - Szombathely lines made many old diesel engines unnecessary.

M47 2023 Magyarnándor állomásra érkezik
A helyi teherforgalom mesterséges leállításával (mesterséges, hiszen áru és megrendelő az lenne) már nem kell annyi mozdony, így csak a 2032-es maradt Gyarmaton. Az M47 2023-as nem sokáig állt viszont Hatvanban: 2010-ben Pécsre vonult, ahol B-vizsgát kapott. Azóta viszont sorsa titkok homályába vész.

Though we thought we are pictureing the last run of this locomotive, in fact it didn't stand at Hatvan for long: in 2010 it recieved a complete overhaul at Pécs, but we don't know what happened to it afterwards: it's a secret.

A real shunter locomotive with a passenger train at the Balatonkenese tunnel on the line 29 (Szekesfehervar - Tapolca) in July 1996. This is a "developed" type of M47 class (made in Romania in the late 70's) equipped with a train heating generator by the MAV.

M47 2041 és a 11-es FLIRT Kelenföldön
Januárban megpróbáltak vérfrissítést végrehajtani a balassagyarmati fűtőházban, ezért Zalaegerszegről odavezényeltek egy Nagydácsiát. A rákosi állomásig jutott, majd Ferencvárosban próbálták javítgatni egy darabig. A fotón épp mozdonyvezetőre vár.

The M47 2041 and 5341 011-4 at Kelenföld station
MÁV allocated a more powerful locomotive for freight traffics to Balassagyarmat, but the locomotive wasn't successful arriving: it broke down at Rákos station and the mechanists at Ferencváros worked on it for two weeks to make this locomotive work again. In this photo you can see the Romanian-built locomotive after it arrived at Kelenföld from Zalaegerszeg while waiting for a new engine-driver.
