HZ_Moravice1.jpg (97966 bytes)

Dual-voltage railway station of Moravice [former Srpske Moravice], situated on the 139th km of Zagreb-Rijeka mainline. The blue signals attached to the electric console <|> demand rising of the pantographs of 3 kV = traction units.
The locomotive seen on the third platform (counted from right to left), with lowered pantographs, is the 25 kV ~ 50 Hz Bo'Bo' unit no. 1141-011. It was photographed after the arrival with passengers' train no. 4052 (Zagreb 8:12 - Moravice 10:46). It well be shortly uncoupled and pulled away by a 2132 diesel-shunter, back to the AC part of the station. At 11:54, the locomotive will be hauling the same cars back to Zagreb, as the passengers' train no. 4059.
The passengers that continue their journey to Rijeka, are seen passing over to platform 2, where a connection for Rijeka is ready: the train no. 4602 Moravice 11:00 - Rijeka 12:45 (pulled by no. 1061-011).
Shot on 2000/07/31.
