The passengers that continue their journey to Rijeka, are seen passing over to platform 2, where a connection for Rijeka is ready: the train no. 4602 Moravice 11:00 - Rijeka 12:45 (pulled by no. 1061-011).

HZ_Sutla.jpg (141766 bytes)

Sutla, the last Croatian station on Zagreb-Ljubljana main line. The next station is Slovenian Dobova, where all Croatian electric engines, operating at 25 kV 50 Hz AC, need to be replaced with Slovenian ones, operating at 3000 V DC.
At Sutla, there is no possibility for trains, not even for EMU-s, to turn in the other direction, because right track is to be followed, and therefore all Zagreb suburban trains have to turn at Savski Marof or at Dobova.
The leftmost track seen at the picture, unfortunately not yet electrified, is the local line for Kumrovec. The wires are to be soon extended over it as far as Vukovo Selo, the future end station of Zagreb suburban EMU-s.
The photo was taken on 1999/09/12 at 16:00, with the 1141229 electric engine heading for Dobova.

The picture was taken on 1999/10/03 at 15:30, just before the arrival of two trains: the one from Zagreb (no. 992 Zagreb 14:20 - Zlatar Bistrica 15:33 - Varazdin 16:34 - Kotoriba 17:20) and the other one from Varazdin (no. 30.15 Varazdin 14:23 - Zlatar Bistrica 15:34 - Zagreb 17:19).
