The recently renewed class 1.141.0xx electric engines are being assigned nos. 1.141.3xx, this at the photo being still the only unit finished yet, thus carrying no. 1141301. It is also the only engine repainted in brand new color scheme of red-white-blue (according to the colors of Croatian State Flag).
Technical data: Bo'Bo' electric engine (forming thus 4 driven axles, marked by the third digit of the serial no.), 25 kV 50 Hz (marked by the "1" as the second digit of the serial no.), max. speed 120 km/h.
The photo was taken on 1999/08/29 at Zagreb-Glavni Kolodvor at 16:35.

Another picture of the HZ 1141301, taken on 1999/08/29 at Zagreb-Glavni Kolodvor at 16:35 just before she went back to the depot. The inscription "Hrvatske zeljeznice" (Croatian Railways) and the number 301 (presuming class 1141) are seen on her side.

The HZ electric locomotive no. 1141-301, to the present day the only unit of the 300 subclas, and the only representative of the red-white-blue livery, after the colours of Croatian flag.
According to the panel on the side, it was derivated in 1996 (in my opinion, from the unit no. 1141-016) by thyristorization. It had been originally given the number 1143-001, but very quickly renumerated to 1141-301. This was photographed in front of the locomotive depot at Zagreb Main Railway Station, July 2000. The express train no. 296 "Lisinski", named after famous Croatian composer Vatroslav Lisinski, ready to depart from Zagreb Glavni kolodvor (Main Railway Station) at 9:00 p.m. for Munich. Many found it strange that two such powerful electric engines hauled relatively short train, consisting of only six cars, provided that they were driven only to Dobova / Slovenian border, on almost straight line of just 30 km. In any case, they had to be replaced in Slovenia, where 3 kV = electrification begins.
According to the new timetable 2000/2001, the evening locomotive turns are as follows: 1) Express train no. 414, departing from Zagreb at 18:04, is hauled by a 1142-class locomotive to Dobova, arriving at 18.32. This unit awaits IC train no. 159 "Croatia", coming from Vienna, departing from Dobova at 22:07 and arriving to Zagreb at 22:35. 2, 3) The train at the picture, "Lisinski", departs from Zagreb at 21:00, and is hauled by two units, the first of which is regularly no. 1141-301, and the second is a unit of class 1142. The arrival to Dobova is at 21:28. The first unit (1141-301) waits for "Mimara" (EC train no. 293) coming from Villach, departing from Dobova at 23:32 and arriving to Zagreb at 23:59. The second unit (class 1142) hauls the express train no. 411 "Ohrid" coming from Ljubljana, departing from Dobova at 23:05 and arriving to Zagreb at 23:32, and subsequently departing at 00:15 for Macedonia. 4) Another electric locomotive hauls no. 240 - "Venezia express" (Zagreb 23:55 - Dobova 00:23). This returns to Zagreb alone at about 1:00 a.m., and then goes back to Dobova to haul back no. 241 - "Venezia express" (Dobova 4:42 - Zagreb 5:10 a.m.). At the picture we see the typical arrangement of "Lisinski" express with the both units 1141-301 and 1142-012 operating simultaneously, on 2000/07/19. Photo: Velimir Sipos
