HZ diesel 2062 038 and a (dmu) 7122 at Pula Station |
2062 036 and a 2062.1 (remarkable by its
cooling "hump" where a new cooling fan
is built in) accelerate their special
cement unit train. They just pass the old
semaphore signals of Unesic, which are
derivated from old austrian and german
signalling - even the block installations
are of Siemens and Halske, Berlin, built
in the early 20th century. Old, but
reliable technology.

HZ 2062 023 reaches the station of Unesic between Knin and Perkovic.
The war had damaged the modern SIEMENS-Signal-box, and so the switches
are turned by hand of two railwaymen with flags at the ends of the
station and Stop-signs at the entrances. The switch-men show their flags
towards the approaching train, and so tell to the engineer either to proceed
or to stop. This is one of the few stations, where trains can meet on the
single-track-line. The commuter train will soon continue its journey. Notice
the supervisor on the platform.

HZ 2062 025 arriving in Osijek with train Budapest - Sarajevo, 12.03.2007 by dnovakovic@xnet.hr |
The IC 521 Zagreb - Split reaches Unesic.
With a delay of about 20 minutes it
passes the northern old austrian-style
exit signals. Once more the IC 521 is not
complete: Usually it carries a restaurant
car, a car carrier and another 2nd class
car. Easy game for the 2062 030.

The train from Sibenik - today not a
class 7122-dmu, but a B-car hauled by
the 2062 008 - waits for the corresponding
train from Split, before it proceeds to
Knin. 2062 036, still in old livery
(even the letters of yugoslavian rail-
ways are visible in pale relics), has
stopped, it brought the 5502 from Split.
